ADAS Calibration
At Audi VW Centre, we carry out ADAS calibration for Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, and Skoda models using a dedicated bay set up specifically for this work.
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, and it covers the cameras, sensors, and radar units built into modern cars to support features such as lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, and automatic emergency braking. These systems rely on being precisely aligned to work correctly, which means even a small change in position can affect how well they function.
Recalibration tends to be required after work such as:
You might notice a fault before a warning light even appears; however, a dashboard warning relating to driver assistance systems is a clear indicator something needs checking. Other common signs include lane keeping assist pulling the steering unexpectedly, adaptive cruise control reacting late to traffic ahead, or parking sensors giving inconsistent readings.
ADAS calibration isn’t something that can be done by eye. It requires precise positioning of the vehicle, calibrated targets, and manufacturer-level diagnostic software to confirm the systems are aligned correctly. Our dedicated ADAS bay is set up specifically for this purpose, allowing us to carry out both static and dynamic calibrations depending on what your vehicle requires.
Not every garage has invested in the equipment needed for accurate ADAS calibration, which means some jobs get sent elsewhere or skipped altogether. As specialists in Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, and Skoda vehicles, we carry out this work in-house, so it’s completed to the correct standard alongside any related repair, without the delay of booking in with a separate specialist.
This depends on the system and vehicle, but most calibrations can be completed within a couple of hours, often alongside the repair that made the recalibration necessary.
Not always. Some faults are subtle and don’t trigger a warning light straight away, which is why we check whether calibration is needed following any relevant repair work.
The cost depends on the make and model of your car, along with the type of calibration needed, whether that’s static, dynamic, or both. Get in touch with our team, and we can give you an accurate price once we know a bit more about your vehicle.
You can, but the assistance features may not work as intended, and in some cases could give incorrect warnings or interventions, so it’s best to have it checked as soon as possible.
As a member of the IMI and part of the 1Tec Auto Hub network, Audi VW Centre adheres to recognised industry standards and stays up to date with the latest manufacturer training and technical developments.
