An MOT is a legal requirement, but it’s also a useful annual snapshot of your vehicle’s roadworthiness. At Audi VW Centre, we carry out Class 4 MOT testing on an automated test lane – the same setup used by franchised dealerships – giving you a thorough, accurate test carried out efficiently and without unnecessary delay.

What the MOT covers

The MOT checks a defined range of safety and emissions-related items, including:

• Lights and electrical systems
• Steering and suspension
• Tyres – condition and tread depth

• Bodywork and structure – where relevant to safety

If your vehicle fails

We’ll explain exactly what failed and why, with a clear quote for any remedial work before anything is touched. Where repairs are straightforward, we can often carry them out the same day and retest promptly. There’s no pressure to use us for the repairs – though most of our customers do.

Pre-MOT checks

If you’d like us to check your vehicle over before the test, we’re happy to do so. Catching an obvious issue beforehand can save the cost of a retest.
